Made in France STAUB THE CAST IRON SPECIALIST

PRODUCTION AND CRAFTSMANSHIP
MELTING
Each Staub piece is produced individually using a traditional manufacturing process. During production, each item is inspected visually or technically 100 times to ensure that our strict quality standards are met.

PRODUCTION AND CRAFTSMANSHIP
MOLDS
The production process starts with the creation of the respective aluminum molds. Then the melted raw material can be cast in the individual sand molds which are destroyed after use.

PRODUCTION AND CRAFTSMANSHIP
BLAST CLEANING
The preliminary task of the thorough blast cleaning is the release of the cast parts from the mold and the removal of any excess metal.

PRODUCTION AND CRAFTSMANSHIP
ENAMELLING
Now the deburring and the removal of any unevenness enables the even more precise shot blasting.
This is preparation for the two to three internal and external layers of enamelling. The final stage in the production process is the firing at 800°C for 30 minutes.

COLOURS
THE ART OF ENJOYMENT THROUGH COLOUR
The rich, deep colouring of the glossy enamel finish makes the Staub cocotte a wonderful centrepiece for the dining table.
A minimum of two coats of enamel give the cocotte a lasting radiance and depth of colour.

COLOURS
THE SPECIAL "MAJOLICA" ENAMELLING CONSISTS 100% OF GLASS
The special "Majolica" colour technique is used to achieve uniquely glossy enamel and deeply intense shades.
The "Majolica" colour technique has three enamel layers - the first layer is applied to prepare the raw iron to ensure a good surface and to smooth out any unevenness and the second layer creates the gloss effect. The third layer ensures a brilliant depth of colour.

MAJOLICA ENAMELING
DARK BLUE

STAUB COLOURS
COLOUR PALETTE
The colour palette has 8 colours and is classified into "Fundamentals" and "Vitamins" to symbolize the basic colours with their hints of nature. 4 of these colours have the distinctive Majolica enameling.
AROMA RAIN
AROMA RAIN BY STAUB
The sophisticated design and optimised weight of the flat lid with its specially contoured underside means that it has excellent moisture retention properties.
Aroma Rain from Staub ensures an even and continuous rainfall effect over the dish inside, keeping it moist, succulent and full of flavour.

THE SECRET OF THE STAUB LID
10% MORE MOISTURE
After a cooking time of 55 minutes there is still 10% more moisture in a STAUB Cocotte than in competitive products.
The products have been tested by the independent Cetim Cermat laboratory (11/2009).

THE SECRET OF THE STAUB LID
9 X MORE EFFICIENT
The self-basting system ensures a rainfall-like effect of moisture, which means that the contents of the Cocotte are evenly and continuously basted.
The self-basting system from STAUB is 9 times more efficient than cooking with traditional curved lids.
